Tū Māia Youth Forensic Service is a regionally focussed multi-disciplinary team whose primary role is the assessment of children and adolescents involved in the Youth Justice system, preparing formal reports on their mental health needs for the Courts and other agencies, and providing short term therapies and consultation to a small number of young people. We also provide clinical services to young people in secure residential care, and Court liaison services.

Due to increased demand and growth of the service, we are looking for a Mental Health professional (Clinical Psychologist, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurse) to join our team. It is essential that you are a NZ Registered Clinical PsychologistSocial Worker, Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse.

We are looking for a culturally competent dynamic clinician who has experience in child and adolescent work preferably in the neuropsychology scope and forensic services, and be able to provide comprehensive mental health assessments, deliver effective evidence based treatment strategies for young people who present to the service, and work collaboratively with other team members and other services. A high standard of report writing is also required.
